Born in 1949, as a second son of Ichimura Uzaemon the 17th. He is an "Onnagata" specializing in female. He was established "Kabuki for Everyone" in1992 as a way to do his part as an actor to introduce Kabuki to those unfamiliar with this traditional form of theater. |

A Nisei born in Colorado in 1960. After having graduated from Harvard Univ., studied in Japan under Kiyomoto Shisaodayu, a music performer playing along with Kabuki, he was permitted to have the name of Kiyomoto Shimatayu in 1994. |
